Default Grand Theft Auto... almost

Man o man .... this is an old scar ........ I'm moving some of my stuff to my other house and found my back up cd's ...... and one that had the images of my stolen and crashed 88 928S4 from 2006.
Shortly after the incident it turned out it was actually the owner of the shop had gone back after the bar closed & was in the processing of using my car to drive the 5 miles back to his house, but 100 mph on a skinny road + Jack D + 2 AM .... dont mix .... so after he crashed ran off and told the troopers it was stolen.
Mo Fo crashed backwards at about 75 mph ..... most likely save he & his passenger from going out the window...
But the PA State Troopers put it all together and his lawyer got him out of it ... just before they got him for GTA.
At the time I had an policy with L-W who used America Modern Home's Collector Car Group as their underwriter ... and they were nothing short of great & I got close to 24k for the car.
But the bride & I liked that car more than the money.

Even 7 years later that is a damn shame.

I remember that story.

You came out way ahead on that one.

I joined RL in the beginning of 2007, but somehow that story sounds familiar to me as well! I know I've read about it a long time ago, and it still makes me cringe and shake my head...

Do I see different rims on each side?

It's still sad to see.

I've never posted any pictures of it before. I sent them off to the insurance co. then had other stuff to deal with.
Yes I did ask the insurance co if I could swap the wheels. I had bought Ed Ruiz's track wheels & took them to Wheel Collision. Took the Jager Shifter & Devek Cross Brace that I had a body shop paint to match. I forget what else ... oh yeah my fuzzy dice.

It's hard to believe that impact was at 75mph. There doesn't even appear to be a crack in the quarter windows.

Suck it Volvo.
