RS steering wheel 993-347-084-80-8YR use offset adapter?

RS steering wheel 993-347-084-80-8YR use offset adapter?
So i purchased the RS steering wheel 993-347-084-80-8YR for my 93 GTS and momo hub adapter 7004. To my surprise the steering wheel came with the 7004 adapter already installed. Looks like i get to send back my $85 adapter kit. The RS steering wheel also comes with an offset ring (moves steering wheel up 1/2 inch and out 1/2 inch). For those with this steering wheel did you use this offset spacer? Does this do anything other than provide additional clearance? Reason to use it or not use it? TIA

I ended up using the offset spacer, its only 1/2 upward but it looks and feels fine. For those planning on a steering upgrade i was very suprised at how easy this was. I just put a resistor in between the 2 air bag wires and put in contact ring part , to make horn work. I will post pictures ASAP. Also i had to open the plastic cover plate about a 1/16-1/8 inch all the way around other wise the momo adapter was rubbing on it and buckling it.
