VAC line that runs over the top of auto TRANS ?
I want to replace this as I have the trans out. The orignial has a cloth heat shield made on it. Runs from driver side trans to passenger side TT into a hard line. What is everyone using instead???
I thought about a rubber vac line INSIDE a piece of radiator hose ( to shield from heat and touching the hot trans case.)
Any ideas fast please as I want to get this done ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Dean, FWIW,
I had to replace the same line on my 86, i used the silicon tubing that is used by model aircraft guys for the fuel lines, it does not kink, become formed into shape and is heat resistant. I ran it from the spider down to a new hard line - I used a 97 land rover discovery rear brake line with the ends cutoff - it is the right length and almost has the correct bends, and completed it to the modulator with the same ptfe tube.

Go to your local stocking import repair shop and get some silicone vacuum hose. Extremely heat and abrasion resistant. Must be why it's used in a lot of high performance automotive applications.
