Aftermarket Suspension Bushings
I am looking for new suspension bushings for my 928's.
Which aftermarket suspension bushings are availiable?
My 928's are purely for ''fast road''.

stay with stock rubber (not all available).
Avoid Delrin, and poly urethane, and all other plastics for ALL suspension components.
The only place that delrin is acceptable is steering rack bushings.

I RACE 928's on slightly harder than stock rubber bushings.....excellent results....all the "harder" options fail far too quick...especially under street conditions (you stated street)
the suspension on a 928 was the best there is when it was designed...honestly today 30 years later it STILL IS....yes in theory a proper "hard" mounted suspension would be better for a RACE CAR...but never for a street car....

"harder" urethane bushungs in the anti-iroll bar might buy you a half-inch of combined wheel deflection. Not worth it in my opinion for the added squeaks/need for regular lubrication.
Delrin "cold flows" under continuous compression. Those with the Delrin rack bushings can see this when they check the bolt tension, and perceive a need to 'just snug them up a little'. They do a great job of limiting vertical displacement of the rack while avoiding any rattling, which was the intent of these bushings.

YES!
The torsion bars, or sway bars, in stock bushings the rubber is clamped to the bar and the rubber rotates with the bar. With other bushings the bar rotates in the bushing. This rotation causes wear on the parts (and an annoying squeeking).

I.ve had the 928 Specialists urethane sway bar bushings on my SE for 10 years. Still don't squeak and last time I took one off acouple of years back the original grease (I used synthetic with PTFE) was still in there.

Is it only detectable wear that is the trigger to replace the bushings or should age also be counted in?
