HEAD'S UP! SITM 2013
For all those who do the Alcoa TN stop over on the Thursday Night,
I've just been informed that there is going to be a Harley gathering in Aloca over the same time period. (Can't imagine running my old bike on some of those corners and calling it fun....but,,,)
Rooms are apparently booking fast, so I'd suggest those interested book ahead, like now.

What he is saying that if you are gonna come thru Alcoa, TN to do the Tail
then the hotels will be booked up there...near Tail of the Dragon
Still is not a bad idea to book the Best Western in Banner Elk soon.....

It's Private
Tony,
It's private, i.e. Dave and Jeannie put it on every year and foot the bill, but I don't believe it's invitation only.....
Click on the Sponsor link for the 928 forum, and check out the details on their website. (Left Side under SITM).
I made it down in 2010 with my older son, and I'm going again this year with the younger one assuming everything works out. Amazing event, great people, and a chance to meet the members here and ut faces to "names". Family event too, lots bring the significant other and kids. Things get interesting (Depending on Andrew and Rhudy ) but not out-of-hand.

A couple of old friends of mine own www.ironhorsenc.com It's a fabuous place to stay for a night & it's on the way to Banner Elk if coming in from the west. Like AO said, Cherohola Skyway is beautiful & IMHO is a better route than "The Dragon". T
