Default warning light replacement

1982 euro auto
just refurbishing my instrument pod and have bought replacement bulbs for all the warning lights (from Pelican parts) . the holders twist out ok from the pod but I am really struggling to remove the bulbs from the holders. I have managed to break one bulb already in situ.

Does anyone have a top tip for removing these little "bu**ers" without breaking them?

advise you buy the ones with the integrated holders so they just twist back in.

the larger bulbs for pod illumination are push / pull but it would appear that the little warning bulbs have clips to keep them in the holder AND the wires are bent over the metal clips also!!!!! how fiddly could they be!!!! previous poster's comment re purchasing integrated bulb/holder makes much sense, if only i'd known before waiting nearly a month for delivery from USA (admittedly over the Christmas period!!)

While its possible to buy the small warning bulbs as 2 part items - my stock ones were not and needed complete replacements (single part or two part). I assumed all were that way.

The larger illumination bulbs seem to be a 2 part item stock. 2W & 3W replacement wedge base bulbs are available I think
