Will 1965-86 911 Shift Coupler Bushings work in a 928?
A machinist nearby to me is making up sets of brass shift coupler bushings for those funny frog looking cars referenced above. I have no dimensions but they surely look like the shift coupler bushings for our cars.
I am thinking of getting a set and living with the shift lever buzz. I do not, however, have any idea if they will fit my 86.5.
Thanks

I would suggest Delrin bushings instead. I installed them on my 911 and am very satisifed with them. The couplers are mighty similar, but I'm not sure they're exactly the same. Check with Roger, my Lizard Short shift kit was shipped with Delrin bushings, maybe they are available separately. I didn't install them on the 928 because the originals are in perfect condition and work fine with the short shifter.
