The storage limit thing seems funny to me, we are a picture intensive group for guides and general interest both. I am working at recovering 2TB on my home PC, buying 6TB more storage, and forum software thinks 2MB is a good amount.

Why should RL have to store everyone's stuff? Cant make money that way, even if everyone was a paid member. Storage and bandwidth aint cheap.

Most of the stuff in the 'Delete' thread is linked elsewhere, not on RL's storage.

 

I don't know about everyone's stuff, but RL should store stuff I put in the tech pages because it benefits the users/members of the forum and that's where the value is.

I was posting and imaging stuff long before RL belonged to one of the biggest lib owned empires in the world. If they can't afford to host tech images for their contributors then eff em.

 

Ya..I understand both ways, but the money is in the eyeballs and advertising.

Not the inherent VALUE of the content...just that we see the ads.

We are the product, not the content.

 

Careful with that Speedtoys, IB is experimenting with taking linked pictures and converting them to rennlist attachments. Late last week there were a few of us who complained and since it was not working right they pulled it.
