I will not be able to attend Greg's celebration. I'll be in Germany for business. I know he would want me to be celebrating his life but to be honest, I am disheartened by his passing. His contributions here and ultimately towards my cars, will be missed.
For those attending the celebration, please reflect the sentiments of the many others who cannot make it.

I'm not going to make it. Just thinking about Greg's passing sucks all the energy out of me. Maybe by SITM I'll be OK(-ish) with it. Right now? And since it happened? No.
Folks, please hoist several in Greg's honor for me.
And Helen, if you're reading these posts, please accept my best wishes. I know I'm going to miss Greg terribly; I can't really imagine how you feel.

Ya'll be safe tomorrow... somebody please toast Greg for me in my absence!
I wish I could be there to show my respect... I'll have to do that from a distance.
Rest in peace my friend.

Great turnout
Greg had a great turn out yesterday!
I'd guess 50-60 people were on hand as well as more than a half dozen 928s!
Paul's hangar was the perfect venue, set up with plenty of food and snacks, some music, tables, and space for the crowd.
My apologies for an early exit, especially to those I didn't get to leave with a proper goodbye - my wife had plans that evening for which I was running late, so I had to break away to link up with the family unit.
I definitely enjoyed re-connecting with my 928 friends and being introduced to new ones. I really mean that. This group is special.
....which is why, for a humble mechanic outside of Atlanta, people came from Dallas, Kansas, Minnesota, Indianapolis, and elsewhere to pay their respects. Greg was special and we're gonna miss him!

Matt I second that! A wonderful garthering for a wonderful car guy!
It was great to put some faces to the names and all of the wonderful people in this community.
Paul thanks so much for putting all the time and all the hard work into this so that we could all meet, talk to old friends and make some new ones. Plus you now have a really clean hanger!
Matt that was a fun drive home. Your GTS looks so SWEET going down the highway and the Old SC had fun streatching her legs! Looking forward to seeing you and everyone one else for a Mountain run this spring!

I am hunkered down here in the Pentahotel in Leipzig just down the road from the Cayenne factory. No Coors, but I did just toast my friend with a tasty hefeweizen. The measure of a person's life is known by the affection and friendship missed by those still here. So long my friend.
