I am considering selling my 83S US model this year. Manual trans, LSD, 47K original documented miles. Ruby Red mettalic, with burgundy leather interior. It would take a little more than 10K to buy my car, we can talk if you're interested.

Looked at this one. Needs a lot of work but great options (5-Speed, LSD, etc.). Owner will negotiate on price... Just not sure if enough...

Owner has $20K in receipts for mechanical work done at a reputable Porsche/Audi shop. It sounds great and drives strong.

Interior and paint need extensive work. Apparently the silver paint doesn't hold up well and this is a good example of that. It'll need a complete respray. The interior smells like mold and someone pulled the carpets to reduce the smell but the rest has to come out. Good prices on complete interiors pop up here occasionally.

The owner is a really nice guy but he owns his own manufacturing concern so he isn't a motivated seller. May be hard to get him to come down to what the car is worth.

The car in Nashville has a cracked dash and a distorted glove box...price out a dash and try to find a replacement glove box...I did. And that's just to start...

86.5, 5 spd. Prussian Blue/navy leather, LSD, GTS brakes, GTS mirrors, BBS 17" wheels, Devek sway bar, Bilstein/Eibach, short shifter, Momo wheel, H4 headlights, 3.5mm overbore throttle body, Hunter racing adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Porken chipped computers, custom dual exhaust (rumbles nicely, then roars). Canadian car with guage overlay to read MPH, easily reversed back to kilometers. Odometer gear was replaced with a fresh one so the mileage is accurate about 130K miles. Dash is not cracked. Valentine V1 with remote in the ashtray.

The not perfect: There has been some minor paint work over the years and there are a few minor scuffs here and there (it's a driver). It has a new windshield but no radio antenna. The A/C compressor went bad and I have a new one and accumulator for it. It's due for a waterpump/TB.

I have a couple thousand in spares as well including spare stock computers, complete exhaust system, stock steering wheel and shifter, new injectors, S4 intake, front spoiler, silicone hose kit, blah, blah, blah. There are also several books and manuals as well as a Porsche microfische viewer with many microfische slides.

This is a nice car that runs great and passes smog easily. I have gotten into different hobbies and this has not been driven much in the last couple of years. I kept a maintenance log. Registration is current. $10K takes everything. Come and get it in Bakersfield.

Is 23K out of your range? There is a current thread on a turn key car in DFW that is for sale, it looks and worth the asking price to me.

Jon's car would be a GREAT choice! Top performing S3 car for sure. Mr. Merlin's work on that car was worth more than $10k!
