Mossgreen '86 5-speed FS - No Sunroof
*SOLD*
1986 Porsche 928 S 5-Speed - True Mileage unknown. Best guess is somewhere around 200k. It's on it's second odometer, and the gear needs to be changed again.
Mossgreen/Brown
No Sunroof or Rubstrips
930 Steering Wheel
18" Carrera Lightweight Wheels, with nearly new PS2s
Porken Chipset/S4 FPR
Kenwood Stereo with USB/Aux Input
I just added a C5 Z06 over the holidays, and I don't have the space to keep four cars. I'm not forced to move this at all, so the price isn't going to change much. Speaking of price, it's $9,500 obo.

This is Stan's (MrMerlin) old car that he passed along to me. If you do not know much about this car, there is a LOT of information in the provided link about it. This includes the last TB/WP service among a LOT of other things. My members link on the OC is under that one.

The mechanicals are all in good shape. It appears that all the major systems (TT, Transaxle) were refurbs from 928INTL. in addition to all the maintenance done by Stan prior to my purchase. This is NOT a 928 that will need thousands in deferred maintenance. All fuel lines have been replaced as well.
This car has been exceptional since I've owned it. I used it as a DD for about a year, and it only failed to start once. After taking care of a loose/intermittent ground I never had that issue again. It had a stalling issue that seemed to be caused by a failing battery. The battery was replaced (couple months ago) and all has been well since.
I just replaced the battery (Bosch), and other than needing a new ODO gear, drivers door handle hinge, and new rear exhaust section it's ready to be someone else's DD. The paintwork is the same as when Stan has it, not a show car by any means, but it does clean up really well, and the paint color is fairly unique. The interior is fairly nice as well, with no cracks in the dash or pod. The dash is a refurbished unit from 928 Intl., and the Pod and front A-Pillar covers are from Rob Budd. The front of the pod has two small squares that were cut out and then replaced with matching leather. This is covered in the RL thread. I have three different shifter ****/boots. The "stock" black boot which is on the car now. One from Paul Champagne in Black Alcantara, and a GTS **** and boot that needs to be recovered that also includes the shorter lever.
Other extras include a fairly large folder of receipts, kempf tool, Moorehouse CDs, odo gear, service covers, plus a box or two of misc spares. I've had this listed only on the OC site as I really didn't want to get rid of it, but now I really need the room.
I'm currently out of the country and email is the easiest way to get in touch with me. I have a clear title, and my wife can handle any and all selling arrangements. I'm online plenty however, so PM works as well.

I wish I was in a position to do this. I'm over 10K into my car and it's nowhere near this condition. No sunroof/rubstrips is huge. I like that color too. Adam G has an 86.5 in that color. Very classy.
The fact that Stan had his hands in there adds quite a bit of value in my mind as well.
