Default Side trim

I see many 928's without side trim on them. I like the look. Can someone tell me if the door is painted under the trim so that If I remove the trim, will I need to repaint?
Also, whats the best way to remove them??
Thanks
Rick

Yes they are painted under the trim. The trim pieces are attached by clips and adhesive tape. You would still need to have the doors repainted as the holes for the clips needs to be filled, and even if that was not the case, the paint under the trim would be less faded than the rest of the paint.

Cheers!

Really like the look of the car without the rub strip too. Not a priority for me right now but something definitely on my wish list.
