TBF newbie question
I.m going to replace my oil pressure sender and engine mounts.Ones i have car up on front ramps can i check tb preload?Only front will be up.?.
Have any of you installed Pklamp. There is two aftermarket products. One replaces original clamp with 4 times stronger clamp ($100.00 Euro) and sec. is an ad-on to original.I would rather stay with properly tight original clamp and check it every oil change(just my thought)
Since i own it only 3 months i should check tb preload. Is releasing pin bolt ,let flex plate reset it self and tightening to 110% enough?
How do i add pic to my profile?

Hi
Flexplate and TB
Go to the very first post on the forum -"Admin: New Visitor: ..." - and look under post 37 and that will give you all the details to check TB movement to see if you have TBF.
I have used the Pklamp for 2 years with no issues, don't overtighten - follow torque recommendation. When you release the front clamp also check the rear. Release and make sure it is seated correctly and buy new bolts for each one.

I'm in Burlington, there are a few of us around these parts.
1st order of business, check your flex plate and do your TB/WP if it has not been recently done.
Oh and the most important thing, change your fuel lines now if you can't verify the age of them. Or else you will own a 928 BBQ.
And like mentioned above read the FAQ page.
To answer your question the pklamp works well, but there was a guy on kijiji selling a super clamp which is the ultimate fix. My pklamp has never moved, but I also did not have any tension on my flex plate.

This thread will help with your flexplate questions:

Basically, release pressure, measure the endplay to compare against specification, and add the PKlamp.
Later, if you disassemble the drivetrain further to remove torque tube for another reason, you can substitute a superclamp. Superclamp and special new torque tube bearings/carriers are manufactured by Constantine.

Yes, I've installed PKlamps and one superclamp. Both solutions give peace of mind.
