928 Fuel tank compatibility
Hey everyone, I usually lurk the 944 parts of these forums, but Christmas is coming and I would like to help my dad get his 928 Euro back up and running. It's a 1980 928 Euro 5spd, with a big crack in the fuel tank. I don't want the car to sit as long as the PO had it sitting (6+ years!), so to motivate my dad I'm going to buy him parts he needs to give him that push.
So here's the question: What 928 fuel tanks are compatible with what years and models? More specifically, do we have to get a tank from an early Euro car? Or all they all the same, etc.
Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to see this car back on the road!
