Congrats on the buy and welcome to RL.

Sorry Alexei. Sometimes the good ones go very fast and you have to be prepared to jump quick. There will be others.

Thanks for the welcome. Only thing i need to do is find a new set of rims for it. I fell in love with the black 17in wheels on the car but the owner didnt want to part with them so back to the stock 16s. Anyone have any suggestions of where to look for 17s. Called a few local guys in NJ and no respone from them. Thay all say go to 18s. Kevin suggested sticking with 17s. Thanks Dave

Dave,
Congrats and welcome to the 928 community! You're coming in with a hell of a car and I suspect it will be with you for quite some time. I'm jealous.

Re: new wheels.... 17", 18" or even 19" is subjective. Aside from being about the look, it's about wheel/tire cost, availability, ride quality, handling characteristics, and fitment.
Size aside, try not to rush your decision. Avoid a great deal on Porsche wheels with low 911 front offsets (50mm and under). You'll likely regret it.
New wheels are obviously for appearance reasons, and the right wheels will make your new Shark look stunning. The appearance of your car is an emotional thing and as a result, it's only natural to be eager to get a new set installed a.s.a.p.
Try to avoid the compulsive instinct and take your time educating yourself.
Your taste may change every time you see a nice Shark with nice wheels. Mine did.
Spend some time on this thread. It's the holy grail for wheel options for our cars. You'll learn a lot about fitment & offsets (critical, step 1 of wheel selection), quality, weight, cost, and most importantly, appearance.

Guys. Thanks for the input. Kevin @ Nuen Werken has been great to deal with. He has given me some great info regarding the rim replacment regarding the fitment & offset issues. The local wheel dealers just dont have a clue. These forums are a great tool.. Like J.P said the holy grail!!!.Look forward to being an active participant on the forum and look forward to grabbing a few beers with everyone in the future. Keep me posted if anyone is in the Jersey area. Thanks again

You hit on a key point ... "The local [fill in the blank] don't have a clue" ... so very true of a 928!

Rennlist is a vast store of knowledge and you'll find out here who to go to for the important things.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the beautiful shark!
