What happened to the Canada rescue, like $6k or something a few months back that was going to be "fixed" make a lot of money?
Last year we had another guy on Pelican drove into a swamp, gungho for awhile then nothing.

I was thinking the same thing actually. First, I'd do as Stan says - completely flush it with fresh water. Then, for the price and the "why the hell not" factor, I would put it in a full rice immersion for however long, and see what happens. Even if it doesn't work, there are many parts on it worth making this something to try.

There are only good parts on it if you don't declare the buyer that it came from a salt water flood car. Otherwise, either sell it for next to nothing or, not going to find a buyer at all. The dunk it in a pool was a joke.

Judging from one of the photos it kinda looks like water got up to the door speakers. Maybe it wasn't insured? Its certainly a possibility although it would not have been the best thing to do to save money. Damn, that was a sweet automobile. How come no one knew whose or where it was? If someone was really mechanically inclined, I would think that after a year or so of substantial effort and prolly $15k of parts you could have a hell of a 25k mile GTS as a daily driver for 25 grand total.

It may be a case of not having the right coverage on this car. Why you wouldnt have comprehensive insurance on a GTS is beyond me, but if the owner didnt have it he cant claim against flood damage.
If he did have insurance and the car was totaled the owner could have made a deal with the insurance company to buy it back say at 5k. Its too bad that is a nice looking car.
The number of cars that were damaged in the path of Sandy is staggering. Thousands of new cars waiting to be delivered at Port Newark were under 5 feet of water during the storm --including 330 brand new Fisker Karmas.

I would imagine that black GTS now has a destruction or salvage title and would be a lot of work & $$ to get it right again. For $ 3,000-4,000 more, you could of owned the beauty below. A recently serviced 94 GTS in excellent condition with clean title, 5spd, no rub strips, & sport seats. The car below did not sell at $ 29,900 last week on ebay. T
