Slow Digital Clock - toast?
Pardon me for asking what seems to be an idiotic question. I only ask because I harbor this belief that digital clocks either fail completely to a blank screen or work as they should. The one in my car just doesn't keep time accurately.
Can it be fixed? If not, am I better off getting some other digital clock and hacking it into the original housing instead of shelling out for a used 928 clock that is likely to fail itself?
Thanks

Mine started getting slower and slower over several years before it finally failed. It looks like it has bled black ink on the display. I always thought the slowing down of the clock was really strange, considering it was digital. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Maybe behind the digital display are some analog gears - lol.

Could be a relativistic effect.
Are you approaching the speed of light at any time?
You seems to be describing two of the symptoms:
• slowing of time dependant processes which affects clocks
• problems in synchronising clocks
Do see any of the other symptoms?:
• contraction in length
• increase in mass
