A word of caution, there are apparently two sizes of VW lights ... I bought a couple off of EBay that look just like the ones discussed here but are a little smaller ...

I bought originals from Roger they were pretty cheap. The key is to grease them well with synthetic grease before installing them then they wont corrode, seize or melt. Sometimes you can restore the old ones by lubricating them if the haven't melted or broke. The wiring always throws me for a loop when I take them out, most are wired wrong if they have been out. It usually takes me a couple tries to get one wired up with out looking at my notes, sometimes thats all I find wrong with them.

It works. Front done easy, wire colors match. Rear took a second try as wires are not the same color.
