87' Heatshield speed nuts/screws
Where can i find the speed nuts and screws used to secure the heat shields in an 87 S4? How are speed nuts categorized? I assume same as Metric/SAE.
I can probably find these at any local fastener place, i just need to know what i'm asking for.

Locally Ace Hardware has the best selection for me.
The OEM screws I never found (although you could use alternatives), however, you can still get them from the likes of 928intl of Pelican and they are relatively cheap.

The metric sheet metal screws for the exhaust heatshields are all B5.5 x 16 screws, and go into a B5.5 speed nut.
The mcmaster metric clip-on nuts are all threaded for machine screws.
The correct screws for the heatshields (900.187.115.02) have a captive washer and are NLA from Porsche. Pelican supercedes to 900 187 115 01 but they are $5 each. 928Intl probably has a bucket of them. Greg Brown has a big bucket of replated ones but they typically only appear on your car when Greg is displeased with the appearance of the ones that were on your car when it rolled in.
Just to gild the lily, here are all the instances of speed nut in the 87-91 PET sheets, so you can see all the applicable sizes on an S4.

What's to stop you from just using generic ones that have the proper dimensions and clip in properly to where they're supposed to?
