Default Anybody need a couple of Engine Support Bars?

I dropped my rack to replace it and I am going to replace the motor mounts and oil pan gasket while I am at it. This means I need a Engine Support Bar or two. Harbor Freight support bar

I am thinking about buying a pair of 1000# Engine Support Bars from Harbor Freight and offering to loan them to other Rennlist Members for price of shipping I guess $25 should cover it all.. I think the model we use for the tow hook tap might be a good way. Basically, you PayPal the 125 dollars and when they are passed on to the next lister or returned to me, I refund the 100 bucks.

If get enough interest I will buy them, use them and then ship them on to the next lister that needs them.

Isn't one enough?

Don't forget the 20% coupon stacks on sale items.

Use the wood 4x4 method. Works great and much cheaper.

Don't agree. Get the HF one and sell it after you are done. It's not worth the time and effort to build something that might not support the engine while you are under the car. $65.00 is not much compared to the bad side. Been using that exact one for 5 years now on dozens of cars.

You only need one and you hook it to the water pump hook or if you have an older car, wrap the chain around the fan mount.

For what it is worth, I have 2 sets of these. (don't ask me why I have 2) One is still sealed and never used. I am willing to part with one set rather cheap. You must pick up in the charlotte area. How about $75.00 for the set?

If you are interested PM me.

As for the other set, I am keeping them. If you are in the Charlotte area and want to borrow them, just let me know. (no charge)

Actually much of the HF stuff sells quickly at close to the retail sale price, sometimes more.
