Hilarious. Thanks guys. is it supposed to be that shape? My fuel pump and filter are hanging down. I am wondering if that is because that piece is on my sidewalk lol

Pretty much yes.

Without that strap fuel tank is hanging by one bolt and few hoses. Not good.

Here's the cradle bolted in place with the fuel pump/filter assembly and fuel lines in place ... but no tank and no metal cover over pump/filter.
