M319 is 'Additional engine cooling for hot climate countries' which is a different diameter fan pulley to give higher fan speed. Australian cars often show that option.

Early eighties basic cars were done without the box. It was possible to get as optional extra.

I take that option as meaning an electric mirror, with the plain referring to plain glass .. but that's just my guesstimation. There's sometimes more than one description listed for the one option code number, and then individual interpretations that could be applied to each description.

I have in fact all that options, including the "Rear Package Box" which as Dave928S states is the compartment with lid between the rear seats.
Regarding the "Special" Country Code I really don't know. The only thing I could think of it's because at the time who wanted a 928 in my country will have to order it and wait at least one month to have it, it's not a car they had in stock.
Does this make any sense?

What is Cxx country code for Portugal. I don't know. If one didn't exist at the time C99 is logical option what factory would have used to make car heading for Portugal. Unless for example Spanish car had exact same stuff in it. Which I doubt as I think Spanish language owners manual was available in some years but there probably weren't Portuguese version and very likely English was used. Thus C99 makes almost perfect sense.

My original owners book and records book are all in English, as well as the presentation catalogues they had at the dealers, but I have one of those presentation catalogues, with body and interior colors, presentation of the car, etc, from Spain and it is all in Spanish, so I guess the owners handbook for Spain was also in Spanish.
I don't know what my country as so "Special" about it, considering they didn't go to the trouble of translating the country documentation to Portuguese!
