Default Who'd want a used timing belt?

Cleaning up the garage yesterday and found the belt Sean replaced back in March. I had a premature water pump failure and while he was in there changing it, he put on a new belt. The old one was installed in 2008 and had about 14K easy miles on it when the WP crapped out.

I hate throwing stuff like this away, so if anyone has a use for it, give a shout.

Tom I just got to ask this: Would you use it in your next 928 WP/TB job?

Hang that sucker on the garage wall so you show your your friends how big it really is.

I wouldnt use a used belt given the time it takes to remove the old part,
the old belt is like a used Rodeo rope, it may still look good but it has seen better days

Considering at TB costs about the same as a case of beer up here, I would always use a new one.

Keep it to threaten 911 owners. Tell them you will strangle them with your timing belt if they scoff at your 928!

Tom, That t-belt would need to be changed next year due to age. Rog has a new one on sale today for only $ 26.00. Good for another 5-6 years. T

i thought you mentioned timing belt conversion to a timing chain. It would be cool, but you would probably need to redesign a water-pump that can last longer.
