Ok. I 'll lube up the rails and see if I can get it to move a little further forward.

Thanks.

Your seat is not all the way forward. Sometimes it helps to have someone seated in the backseat and push the front seat while you are holding the switch.

as posted earlier one of the upper seat rail bolts may have come loose , if so its jamming the rail,
get a helper to lift the seat while you work the motor or turn the front cable drive.
Make sure to check these bolts after you get the seat out.

Consider using a sharp chisel on the side of the bolt head to get it moving

Reach under the seat and make sure the connector is still connected. With all the jiggling the connector might have gotten lose.

There is one connector under there not connected to anything, but I cant find the other end blindly. I'm guessing it may just be an extra harness for cars with heated seats... I spent about 45 min slowly moving the wires hoping to get it to move again, and nothing. I also checked to make sure I didn't blow a fuse.... CRAP

Thanks.

The connector is in the middle of the seat and is a 2-1/2"x 1" but nearer the transmission tunnel. I don't have a picture with the seat out.

Ok. Pretty sure that one is connected. The one that is not connected to anything comes out of the left side of the seat bottom. The other has a lot of extra line and is the one that I was able to move around and get the seat to move.

Thanks.

Found this thread posted by aircooler but don't know if I dare try it...-

I managed to find an easy fix. I pulled the metal retaining clips that held the ends of the seat drive cables to the emasculated fore/aft motor (It’s the one in the front and easy to access), and attached 2 cordless drills to each cable end. Then I simply ran both drills in the same direction to easily move the seat fore and aft to access the seat mounting bolts to remove the seat. No sweat!

Those little white drive cogs for the power seats can be purchased separately at the dealer. They are under $2 each and are very easy to replace. That was a pleasant surprise as I thought I might have to get them with a new motor ($).

Total repair cost....$6

Hope you are enjoying the summer,
Mike
