Rear Seat delete
Been searching around a bit, but have not found what I am looking for.
Has anyone made a rear seat delete carpet kit? This exists for 911 etc..
Im picturing a carpet covering the rear seat and rear storage box after removal to make it look good.

Deleted the rear seats on the 94. Do a search for Jim M, he did a nice job on his. Contact Rob Budd at www.928leather.com He might be able to help with partial carpet sets. You can also search this seller on ebay: "appbiz" he sells sliverknit, etc by the yard. T

Cheers for the input.
I was looking more for a ''less is more'' carpet kind of thing to make the rear area nice when the seats have been removed.
Anyone seen anything like this on a 928?

My rear seats are gone and I just keep the seat cushion bottoms which weight virtually nothing velcro'd to the pans. I stretch the cargo net to wrap over the edge since the attachment points on rear seats are gone anyway. It looks better than building it up with plywood to look like an RV in my opinion. Next step will be getting some sort of black leather covers to finish it off a bit better, without adding 'stuff' back in that's heavier than the seats were.

I would like to delete the rear seats in my GT because:
A: I never use them, and due to the GT3 seats installed at the front they cannot be used even if I wanted.
B: Save weight, even though its only a small saving to be made here, it still counts!
This is a very common thing to do on the 911's and a CS style rear carpet is readily available there.
I was wondering if something similar is in place for the sharks :-)

Rear seat delete is in my plans for this winter as well - planning to remove both upper and lower seat sections, plus the rear centre console (no rear AC on UK cars) and cover with carpet for a Clubsport type effect.
993turbo - do you have some pictures of the GT3 seats installed?

Will take a look if I have pics of the GT3 seats installed. The Recaro brackets fit perfect on the original mounting frame in the car. Bolted straight in. I do not have any adjustment

I saw Jim's car at the O.C., and his conversion looks factory. He said the parts came from a Mazda.
