how to get your cell phone out from behind the instrument cluster
So ya... phone has poor gps reception so I thought to myself "self, throw your phone on the dash like in every other car" which promptly allowed me to discover a new way in which i realize my 928 is unlike any other car and further discover the perfectly cell phone size slot behind the cluster mid dash to which my phone vanished. Yay.
Any here for posterity are the non dash removal steps for retrieval:
Tools NOT to have: grabber tool. Flexible magnet tool.
steps to failure:
1. Attempt to use a super magnet and wire.
2. Be sure to lose magnet on something metallic inside dash before retrieval of phone.
3. Attempt all the following. Salad tongs. Curved needle nose pliers. Need nose pliers. Be sure to fail wih those.
4. Open beer.
5. Use sticky tac on end of wire coat hanger.
6. Be sure sticky tac almost works before dropping phone and goober of sticky behind dash.
7. Obtain wife with small fingers or use the tool in the attached picture made from a wire coat hanger. Use either one to stand up the phone vertically so you can see the headphone jack.
8. Use curved needle nose pliers to insert headphones into jack.
9. Lift phone to freedom.
Gotchas:
1. prior to inserting phone be sure phone was in gps mode so screen is on permanently or you wont be able to see it.
2. The first 6 steps please spend a minimum of an hour, last 3 take about 20 seconds.
I'm starting to think my shark doesn't like me.

Race Car
Remove the screws from the lower cover and yank it out like i did the 10+ parking lot tickets that had been lost by the PO?
If I didn't want to know where he had been I surely know where he paid $'s to get his car out for a missing ticket.
Good luck!
