We may be able to come up with some reasonably-priced 19-pin plugs to fit the diagnostic connector. Anybody need any?

Anyone that wants to make a 9293 tool should be interested. The connectors are available from a Canadian company but the shipping was a killer- definitely something to let a vendor buy a bunch and amortize the shipping costs.

Actually, the other end is an OBD II connector...
Unfortunately, my OBD II Scanner won't read anything from the '90 GT.

Here's a pretty cheap one, it may be the one where shipping is a killer though:

Then there's the cable with an OBD-II connector on the other side, but it shows as out of stock:

So, with this 19-pin to OBDII connector, in theory an OBDII scanner could read 928 data?
I say "in theory" based on WallyP post "my OBD II Scanner won't read anything from the '90 GT"
So the data format is compatible, just different physical connectors?
What about about pre-round connector cars, like my '88 with the square connector? Still has LH/EZK...
I have Theo's tool to read it from my PC, but true OBDII would be useful..

My scanner will, on an OBD II car, read codes, erase codes, read the data stream in real time, etc., etc. Hooked to the '90GT, it tries to read everything, but only comes up with what appears to be the version of one of the protocols. Disappointing...

The 928 diagnostic software doesn't conform to the OBD2 standard, only OBD1. OBD1 setup communications specs for the data lines, but after that each manufacturer could code it however they wanted.

After considering the possibilities, David decided that he would rather just let everyone get their own connector for less money. How about $8.95 including shipping...
