Default S4 spindles on an 84 Euro?

I'm looking at options to upgrade the brakes on an 85 Euro. Normally I would swap to the OB spindles and use adapters but the 85 euro has ABS and swapping to the early spindles would eliminate this option. Can I swap to the S4 spindles in order to make the brake upgrade and retain the ABS? Is there any other parts that will be needed? I have the A arms as well so they will be changed as well.

Thanks

There are a number of differences......the number of teeth on the gears for the ABS signal, early and late A arms are different lengths both upper and lower, different wheel bearing sizes, ........now how does that all go together ??????
Maybe you can move the toothed trigger gear from one hub to another ??? steel pressed onto the alloy. Then use the entire S-4 front end. check to be sure the abs sensors will fit !

Could you not use the adapters that OBehave makes for use with S4+ calipers and Cayenne rotors? I would think that would work with the ABS just fine. No spindle swap needed.

That might be an option. I hadn't thought of that.

Might be the easiest option and bigger rotors as well....
