Jetrainor,

All can be fixed. Given nothing works(electrically), you can order a new printed circuit foil from Roger(928srus)
https://928srus.com/products/928-641...l&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Lots of info online on how to replace it. You may find with new contacts, things will work. I found my gas gauge worked much better after cleaning the contacts.
The broken odometer gear isn't too bad either to do.

Default Reverse Switch

I have some experience with this problem on my '93. In the interest of others who may be following I offer this. First- you don't note the M/Y of your car. You might want to put that in your sig/Avatar lines. If it is not the bulb, it probably is the "A/T Reverse Switch '85-'95", (000-545-660-6) which several years ago was $170 from 928 Int'l. If yours is pre '85, the following may not apply. You should check linkage as that will affect accuracy of selection of gear displayed in pod. The switch is not hard to get to, easier than opening the pod, but not easy either. While replacing the switch, I broke the white locking ring; it felt secure, so I ran with it for several years w/o locking ring and had No issues, but last summer I bit the bullet and paid an indep. mech who does not have arthritis issues and it took only one hour at his labor to install a new switch; I don't know what a new switch runs, but got be well north of $170.

If anyone has need of the broken lock switch, I would ship it to you for $50, it was NIB from by Porsche 11/2011. You might be able to cannabilize a lock ring from someone else, worth a try in view of what a new one costs. YMMV.

Thanks for pointing out that rennlist deleted my sig on an already-answered 9 year old thread. I'll get right on that update.

im fitting one of those foil circuit boards tomorrow, may post the process. already fitted a replacement rear casing and replaced the 3 cable quick connects. still have a flickering right hand battery and oil pressure as connector to foil connection must be dodgy.

Thanks for everyone’s feedback.

I went with with a Digi-Key Red Park LED and a White Drive LED. NR32 are the original incandescent bulbs
