Looking for 928 related posters
After nearly a year of being without a garage and having my cars in storage I am finally getting things back together. The new garage is working out better than expected and I have tons of posters many of which are 911 related but don't have a single 928 related poster i can hang on my walls. Was curious if anyone knows of some good 928 posters or if anyone has some they want to get rid of. Here is some of the posters I have up so far I plan on covering the entire wall.
If only someone had a 928 poster like the old Lamborghini Countach poster from the 70's/80's about 10" tall and 3 feet long. The 928 has the perfect silhouette for a poster like that.
PS If you don't like 911's don't look LOL

The speed record posters seem to command a premium now.
On another forum....Pelican..someone did do a run of wall-sized banners.
Then there is the silhouette on ebay, that's neat...

I think this is the only one worth hanging up (a few different versions exist) http://sinebot.com/movie/6951
Years ago when I had a poster printer and the matching software I was able to make posters of the 928 Ad's. With a high res scan from an owner in Tx, i think T_max (maybe), the scan was so good that the dpi was so high it crerated a great quality poster of the 1987 2 page classic comparison of the 928 S4 and the 930.
You might try going that route getting hi res scans and going to a printer for any page in Porsche catalog from back then or that one I did. It was nice.

I can't find the silhouette although that 917 banner was cool.
I like the idea of scanning and printing I have the original GTS press release photos I could have scanned and enlarged as others seem to be doing and selling on ebay. I could probably crop and make it fit my space. The rest on ebay do little for me.
Thanks

Here's the Ad I have somewhere in Hi-Res that made great 2'X3' posters I also made a 3'X2' version of the 928 shot on the lower right with the Porsche saying about "not making comparisons with other cars" line and that came out great.

Any of these would make great posters -- this page is incredible

An over-sized version of the NUMBER 6 Ad with the phone dials would be awesome. The number 26 is also extremely cool and nostalgic.

Thanks.
Not sure what you would call it. I designed it with the intention of pulling straight in I can fit 2 early 911's along the wall and 2 928's inside of them, leaving the other half the garage for whatever but I like having cars lined up so I have complete access. With the way they are all I have to do is pull the Cayenne out and any of the three can be used without moving the others.
There is one 16' garage door and a 10' with a 3' door to enter.
Even with the cabinets and tool chests I can squeeze a Ford Explorer in there with the Cayenne but the sign says "Porsche Parking Only"

Back in 12/2005 I posted a thread about a 6' 928 poster I saw in a home:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ghlight=Poster
In true 928 owner fashion, the community pitched in to make it happen. Kelly Shipp enhanced & modified a high res image & Mark Robinson made available a 3' & 6' poster with a variety of wording at the bottom. I still have mine in the shipping tube cause the one I received was severely wrinkled, too wrinkled to frame without hard boarding it. I just didn't want to pay the $$ for hard boarding & framing a 6' poster at the time. One day I will. Mark would have replaced it for me, but they were specifically made to order, so he had no extra stock to replace it with.
Then I missed out when Mark did additional runs in Dec. '07 & Aug '11 on Pelican.

Just told the wife the other day that I wish I'd gotten a 3' one too, cause I'd have a much easier time finding room for it currently.
Maybe now that Mark is back here on RL we can convince him to explore the possibility of getting together another order?? I think he needed about 20 orders into make it happen in the past. Hmmmmm?????? Mark??
