Kinda looks like the top was cut at the rear (by the hatch) the way it flipped up.

Didn't they send the original Stig off the front of an air craft carrier in a Jag? I can imagine what Clarkson was saying then, "that'll teach 'em to keep his bloody mouth shut next time". Surprised he didn't send him over in a 911!
