Default Metro Detroiters, know of any nice 928s for sale

Since selling my old 928 a few years ago, I have regretted it. I am now starting to look for another one. Does anyone know of a nice 928 for sale locally (or even semi-local)? I am open on year and transmisssion, I am looking for a well cared for car at a decent price. Thanks in advance.

Not local, but my very nice 89 S4 auto silver/black. Pix in vehicle marketplace. Located in Boston. Just bought a 91 GT with 24k miles is the reason this one is for sale. I am second owner and have had it since 1996.

hi Steve. The one auzivision pointed out was not a well cared for car. Not in the least. So don't think a gem slipped away. It needed a LOT of work.

What's your budget? That will largely dictate what you can get. Do you have a preference for year/body style? How much work are you looking to put into it? Or are you just looking to turn the key and drive?

I only know of one car locally for sale. It's an '82 Weissach auto for about $3,000. It needs a little TLC, but is a descent platform for bringing back. Runs well. Not a show car.

Where are you located, again? I forgot. I'm in Canton.

Let me share a little more info. I want a car with decent paint and interior. I want it good mechanically. I don't want a project, but I am willing to work on it as needed. If I go with an early car, I want a manual. If I go with a later model, either trans is fine. I think my budget will allow me to get a really nice early car or a "driver" quality later model. I really like the look of the S4, but am a little concerned about its added complexity. I want something nicer this time around.

There are a couple S4s on the Detroit area CL, does anyone know there particular cars? I am starting to look and am ready when I find the right car at the right price.

I live in northern Oakland County

I know of one, Black on black '87 auto, w/ 17" Cup II's, 58k miles, MM's Pan gasket, Tbelt all done in the past two years. New tires and brakes, no leaks, stock interior, no cracks. Owner selling for health reasons.
Edit: this car was and is stored in a climate controlled garage, everything works
Also this car is unlisted at this time.

PM me if interested

Oh yeah... the one Dave is referring to would be a nice one. I know that car too. Don't worry about complexity. We have tools to get through the S4's electronics pretty easily.

There are plenty of 928 guys in your neck of the woods. You should have no trouble finding a good one!

A couple of nice options. I also have a lead on a 1981 US model 5spd that has been restored for $6900. Body and interior are all redone, a basically turnkey car.
