I suspect in this case that the central seal is the actual seal and the back up "rings" are just used as guides to prevent the metal piston hitting the wall of the cylinder and scratching it the.
Seems odd that they didn't use similar seals to a brake master cylinder - these see similar pressures

Thankfully I don't require any of these as my car doesn't have PSD. Just couldn't stand the idea of someone having to spend $400 for a cylinder when all that's wrong is seals. Hope that company can help.

I've sent it. If things work out and they are able to retrofit the piston seals, I will let everyone know what to ask for, and where to send the order.

Yes. They shipped the replacement seals back to me a while ago, but I didn't want to go forward with anything until I had completed the replacement on my car. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to do much. They do exist. I have ten sets. If you need them now, let me know. It would be at your own risk. $30. per set.
