87s4. here is a pic of the fuel injector orings that i pulled from the fuel rail. can anyone outhere verify that the sequence and oring type is correct?

the reason why i ask, is i have pulled many other porsches and i have not seen that final oring on the pintle.....i would have thought the pintle would be clear and that big oring would go on the head, or top part....

i also noticed clips on some are missing those rectangular clips.

finally, when i took a flashlight and peered down the hole, i noticed that only half a semicircle lip was there in all the holes. is that normal? i,e, the fuel injector oring makes contact with a semicircle lip on the header.

that last oring gets me a little confused....never seen one on the pintle before.

 

Thats not right. The black o ring is the correct location. Only one o ring should be there. The blue oring doesnt belong. The blue o ring does look the correct size though, the black one looks too small. The semi circe is normal, thats part of the gasket between the intake and the heads.

 

thanks.....it looked odd to me when i pulled it. all of them are the same sequence....i think there is one oring that goes on the top of the fuel injector....it could be possible that the po bought the wrong kit or improperly installed it.....

either way, it was weird looking when i pulled it. so i decided to post it.

Some nice PO work... there is an o ring on top of the fuel injector as well to seal the fuel rails. I am not sure what the correct sizes are, I just order them from those who know :-)
