Default 87 s4 throwout bearing rebuild part number

Does anybody know the part number for the bearing used in the 87 and up throwout bearing? I've used the search and have not come up with any part numbers. Thanks.

Just call Roger on Tuesday and order it, he's got them in stock. Got one from him on Friday and am returning it since I got the wrong one.

I had the impression the bearing in the single-disc clutches was a non-standard size?

I still haven't pressed apart my old one from my '89 to measure or take to my local bearing specialist (I replaced everything in the move to the GTS clutch).

Hilton has the right idea. I am not looking for the whole throwout bearing, but am curious if anyone has pressed apart the throwout bearing and rebuilt it like people seem to do for the dual disc clutches. My research seems to have led me to believe that the bearing used in the throwout bearing for the dual disc clutches differs from those used in the single disc throwout bearing. Joe

In the Bearing Madness thread, Dan Brindle mentioned he pressed a late TOB apart and found it could be re-greased.

Given the propensity for rust to kill these, and the ease with which the clutch can be accessed, it actually makes sense as preventative maintenance for the 928 clutch. Of course, it requires access to a press

I really need to press my old one apart and see how they work. Given the loads on the average street 928, I'd expect that with regular cleaning and greasing they could last almost indefinitely.
