man I built that 959 from scratch ...and then had to sell it to finance my divorce. a bittersweet moment looking at it there....thanks Kevin Lacy for posting that as I have no pics or records left from that build.

I was just scanning the net when I came across this (no affiliation with the seller):
http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/auto-s/p...reviousPage=lr

Just curious if this is a strosek or not. Is it?
The rear hatch and wing look to be, but the rest?

I love the rear hatch on the 1988 + models. I hope to make one some day when I find just the right 86.5 for a ton of body mods.

Any idea where you can get one of those roof spoilers and front spoiler? I know Jaquemond (sp?) sells the roof spoiler, but it's close to $1k. I check eBay.Germany every once in awhile, but a US seller would be preffered.

I have the Jacumond rear spoiler, I paid about $600 for it. I must say when it showed up and i held it for the first time i couldn't believe what he's charging considering what it is... if I had seen it in person before hand there's no way I would have bought it! It may sound odd but a cheap way to get almost the same effect would be to buy one of those sunroof wind deflectors (the tinted/smoked ones) paint it to match your car and mount it over the rear hatch, they make them in all different sizes. It will look just about the same, you could even by the LED light and double side tape it for the brake light....it would cost under $50 total. No Joke!

Hi Mj,

Thanks for the heads-up about the Jaquemond roof spoiler. I'd have been pissed spending that much $$$ on something worth a couple of hundred, at best. Did you get the spoiler like the one on this 928 - pictured below on the right?

I've been thinking of getting one for a different make of car and seeing if I can make it work. Some use double-sided tape and stick it to the glass instead of drilling and screwing it into the rear hatch frame. If I can find measurements on the Nissan and Honda ones, I'll probably pick one up (each is around $50 painted). I like the look and any sun blocking (even minor blocking for when the kids are in the backseat) will be worth it. If I don't like it, I can just pull it off and clean the tape off of the rear glass.

Yes it looks about the same as the pic on the right, I used double sided tape as well, that's what he (Jacumond) says to do. Then you just have to drill a very small hole in the hatch to run the wire for the brake light (which I haven't been able to bring myself to do) I bought this along with the rear spoiler that is actually on the car in my avatar. I Really like the spoiler but that to was WAY over priced ($1200).. I think you have the right idea using a valance from another car and not paying an arm and a leg for it. Keep us posted with some pics of what you come up with.

There are a few of the later versions that I would like to own but overall I agree with you. I think the early cars are way to dated to ever look good with modern styling. I am happy to see at least a few of these that I like. Before this post the name always just put a very bad taste in my mouth. One thing is certain. Leave the headlights alone, they look damn good from the factory.

I don't like the early spoilers at all - the late ones are excellent.
