A little over $8500 if I remember right for a Murf stage 3.

Now, everything that your CAR needs in deferred maintenance is completely different car to car. So, if you've been on top of it, very little extra on top of the cost of a kit like Tim offers. Which I think is THE setup for "reliable" boost for a 928.

I've not done it personally. Erik (Hacker) or Tim or any of the others with the actual kits would be better to ask.

Also, if you visit the Murf website, "Z" is very good at answering questions on their website.

Stage 3 will put you over 500rw. It's the intercooled, higher boost setup that Tim offers. It's either stage 1 or 3.

You guys are so irresponsible doing this on public roads. You really need to take it to the track!

Good kill Gretch! Boosted 928's will surprise some badass cars, especially on roll ons. I know I have. Clarkson said the CTS looks like it was designed by a guy who only had a ruler.

Take the same budget that produced that monster CTS-V and apply it to a 928....no contest.
Carl has countless shop hours and money into the Bonneville car which it does run good just 1/2 mph under the old Cadillac record at Bonneville but that was a little wimpy 191 cubic inch motor that made an impressive 1000hp.Even if someone did spend the time to build a street car like the 12 Caddys, who would buy one at that price? If Carl would have to build the same motor setup for a street car and install it you know it wouldn't be cheap!

Winner = Gretch

He would have blown a 1st generation into oblivion so bad the driver would have checked his rear view mirror for a parachute.
The fastest 928 so far is almost as fast as the old 2004 little 191 cu in Caddy at 217mph back in 2004.

That is true.

That will be an interesting ride once its done.

I give Cadillac credit as they are no longer Grandpas caddys anymore. They just got back in racing and won the Pirelli World Challenge Series in GT class

ALL that mattered to me......is I walked away from him in a gear that was "sporting".

My third gear would have "run" away from him...HARD!

I don give a **** about what he or anybody else thinks about the myriad of fooking excuses he had......... MY car won, his let him the **** down! TOUGH ****

HA!

Carl has not spent countless man hours and money on the Bonneville racer. Carl has spent countless hours and money changing his car from a Pike's Peak racer to a track car, to a Bonneville racer, back to a track car, back to a Bonneville racer.
Btw, Carl isn't in Green Bay.

Nice. I haven't had a chance to take a CTS-V yet, but just today I demolished a brand new Audi S6 on the highway, multiple times. I was actually expecting it to give a better showing. Maybe I should have just stayed in 5th gear instead of downshifting into 4th

I was very impressed with Robs car, Torque and HP from his GB engine.
I am betting with some stickys on the back he may get it into the 10 zone, and it looks stock.
I love that fact.

Up here in Fort mac there is more money then brains with 1000 hp stangs and 1500 hp Cameros.
Hell we have twin turbo 1000 hp diesel 1/2 ton trucks
It would be a lost cause to try and compeat.

That said, they can't do an 80k corner in the city.

I also believe Mr Porsche said that we do not compare a Porsche to other cars, Because

There is no other!

I love my car
I love my 928.
I love the fact that others ogle my Porsche, even other Porsche owners.
I may put some cams or a SC on it down the road, but most of all, ... I just love driving it.
