Do it now- sell something! It is worth it, and everything is just faster and easier!

Well, got the lift bars....they are sexy....have not got a chance to use them yet....I am holding up the plumbers with my duct work...(1) more weekend of work, and then I will be mostly done, and will have play-time again...

The liftbars are a giant step from no lift bars when you are regularly working under the car. I don't have a set, and have more than few sore muscles from jacking to short stands, moving the jack, jacking to long stands, moving the jack, jacking to long stand, then jacking the rear to short then long stands. Lots of moving the jack, lots of stands to manage, lots of pumping the jack.

The two-post MaxJax gets used several times a month, even just for "stupid stuff". I figured out that my fancy DA Porter-Cable polisher with a fancy Detailers Domain polishing bonnet, and a few dribbles of Mequiars sealant, makes my old baby look pretty good if used maybe one every month or two. 30 Minutes to do the whole car, including the lower sections of the doors, lower quarters and the bumpers. Just pick the car up a couple feet, and I can do the whole bottoms section of the 928 with the power polisher. Wouldn't consider putting the car on stands for that, too much work! The lift? Pull the hydrauilic hose over and plug it in, swing the arms and pads into place, push the button, watch the car go up. Less than 2 minutes all in. Wish I'd bought a lift like this twenty years ago.

The liftbars are a nice stop-gap. Start saving now for a lift, even if it's "just" the 4' MaxJax. I'm hoping it will hold my coffin a few feet off the bottom of the hole too,

Liftbars changed my life. Seriously.
A lift was out of the question, as it would also cost me new kitchen counters..

Being in the military (wife is i was) i cant add a lift to a rental.... :-( but i have been able to do everything under the car with them, from trans swaps and rear suspension work to engine work.

when when buy/build in the next few years, a shop and lift are in the future....
