Blower Switch Dead
Yesterday my blower quit working then started working again. Today it will not work at all. It does not work on any speed. Also, prior to the switch quitting, the AC would blow ice cold then randomly start to blow hot air. After a while it would blow cold again. It seems there is something new everyday that decides to randomly quit working! Checked the fuse and it looks ok. Any suggestions?

blowing hot then cold is most likely your condenser fan has gone out. turn on car, turn on a/c, and see if the electric fan in front of the condenser is spinning....it should be when the a/c is on.

It always helps to include the car info in a request for help.
The undersized relay inside the HVAC head unit has no effect on the blower. You most probably have either a poor connection at the fuse (location varies with model year), or a faulty blower relay (location varies with model year).
The blowing cold then hot can be any one of several problems, including the internal relay. With more info, we can give you specific troubleshooting advice.

ok, the car is a an 1982 928. I got the blower to work by attempting to remove the HVAC head unit. It started working and has been working ever since. However, the AC problem is still there. It blows ice cold for a while could be 5 minutes or could be 20 minutes, then extremely hot air come out. It can blow hot for aslittle as 30 seconds or 2 hours. Someone mentioned it could be a hot water valve which is located under the airbox or it could be the internal relay on the HVAC head unit. Is the valve hard to get to and is there a way to test it to see if it is bad? Thanks for the help!

Not hard to get to. Remove upper and lower air filter housing, on passengerside beneath it you will see the valve. Usually is black and white plastic with a whitish vacuum line going to it. Start car and see if valve closes, or with car not running use a mighty vac on heater valve. You can also use just a bit of line and suck on it to see if it will close.
