That's not Jeannie Roberts with the keg, is it? I should have never missed SITM this year.

Holy crap Bob, that is scary..I took a double take on that pic myself! I had thought of making a comment about her looking like Jeannie when I first saw it...but refrained from posting....mainly because that hot chic is a little "light" on top...LOL

But it would be just like her to carry a keg like that, she has been tossing around 70lb+ boxes of 928 Brake rotors almost daily for a decade plus, and I am always bitttch'n about the heavy things she tries to carry.

BTW, we did miss you very much at SITM. BUT, YOU missed out on some hilarious times...Jeannie had me literally in tears from laughing so hard most of the weekend, especially after a few drinks....man I Love that girl, she's my Bestest Buddy and Soul Mate...and even at 46 (going on 13 :-) she is also still my "HOT CHIC"!!

Cheers,

Dave

James, thank for you the work you've done as membership chair. You've put in a lot of volunteer hours, and I really appreciate all you've done for the club.

Greg, I forgot you when I was listing voting folks... Since I don't have a vote I usually don't look to much at the threads requesting a vote... Sometimes a quick peek to see what the topic is, but I never look to see who is voting (not even sure you can actually see that). So sorry for leaving you out my friend!

Thanks for the kind words. Stan and Gary get the brunt of my emails and requests and have always been very appreciative and thankful of my work and efforts and that makes it easier to keep pushing forward...makes me want to do my job better as well. I think a 50% increase in new members vs the same period directly previous is a pretty good effort!

McLovin, the lady carrying the keg is right up my ally! WOW!

DR, you are a lucky man, and the keg carrier does favor Jeannie and I agree she is better endowed up top! I still remember the first time I saw Jeannie...tall heels, short skirt, long blond hair, nothing not to like there!! Then I got to meet her and found out she was as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! You are lucky indeed!

BTW, I'll get to your questions tomorrow when I have more time to craft intelligent and coherent answers. If you get a chance Dave do give me a shout about some business por favor!

James, earlier in the other thread, DR made mention of term limits. What is your position on implementing term limits or at least not allowing the Pres. to hold office for concurrent terms?

A man who owns ten 928's and is able to persuade women to pose in bikinis around them, CLEARLY has some very good stuff goin on.A man who is able to achieve these things would get my vote for president of the whole freakin universe.

Seriously though, i have to give the nod to the guy who has his hands at the pump already.James gets my vote for this reason more than any other. This is not to say that Andrew is not ENTIRELY capable of taking up the role, near as i can tell, but to me, some of Stan's comments in Andrews thread seem to ring true to me, and so my vote is for experience.
Continuity is often underrated, bigger changes can carry bigger rewards, but equally bigger risks.

I wish both James and Andrew the best, and hope that whomever wins, will have much to be proud of when their tenure is over.

Cheers,

Adrian

For what little it might be worth I myself support James Morrison for President of the Owners Club. I posted a thread about that topic in the OC General Discussion Forum.

Just in case you are waiting around for the ballot to come in the mail or something, the voting is going on right now. If you go to the OC General Discussion Forum at the top is an announcement about the nominations. Click on that and it gives you a link to the ballot. Vote now and vote for James Morrison.

We are very fortunate to be able to choose btw two stellar candidates.

Thank you James for running and offering up your enthusiam. It will serve you well.

You got in the trenches an cleaned up a mess, and I applaud your efforts... as does the 928OC.

You got my vote! It wasn't easy as Andrew is my friend. And so are you. You are the right guy for the job!

Good luck.

Thank you gentlemen for your support and vote.

Fabio, in the past no one has been willing to take over (for any position actually) and while that does provide stability, it sometimes causes a drop in enthusiasm and creativity. I am not in favor of a term limit rule because it would force someone (and it might just be anyone) to take over...that could lead to serious issues. I would HOPE that when a person is tired and needs a break that they would ask the membership for folks who are interested in taking over their position and then groom them to do so at the next election cycle.

We did not have term limits in my PCA region when I joined. The current president had been in office a few years because no one would step up to take over. The club was stagnant. A friend joined the club about a year before I did and talked to the Pres about things he had in mind, the Pres asked him to take over at the next cycle because he was ready to retire, David asked me to be his VP. We did that for four years. It took 2 years to really get a handle on things and then I was happy to let David continue to lead for 2 more years (I think 2 years is really a term minimum).

After David's four years at the helm I took over a healthy club that I had helped grow and grew it even more and faster! We won the membership award for PCA. My VP was not patient. He didn't want to put in another year as VP, so I stepped aside... It was the start of the decline. I think it was in part because he had only been VP for 1 year and that he was then only president for 1 year. It just was not enough time to learn all he needed to know and stability was lost.

I would hope folks would ask for people to step up and take over after 4 years at most... That can not always happen though and having a hard and fast rule does not make sense to me. I'd be happy to put it to a vote and let the membership decide.

I found the voting section and it was very easy to use.
I like the direction the club is going so I voted accordingly.
The only thing I would change is that I dont want to see so many scanty girls on the calender

James had a nice response to this. For me, I think term limits is one of the stupidist restrictions imposed on the Democratic form of government in any setting, public or private.

LOL on that last part there Brad! You know the Calendar is MY baby! That is NOT the 928OC's deal! I do it because I love pretty ladies and cool 928's and because I love animals and it is a way for me to give some money to help out the Humane society and I hope bring a smile to some guys faces when they go out to the garage and look at their car and the calendar!

Voting has started which means the campaigning is over.

Thank you James and Andrew - good luck in the election - I will fully support the winner any way I can.
