Default Interior part Question

Hello,

Next to the passenger seat on my 81 is a VDO sensor which I assume is for the speedometer signal. I am sure something covers this piece but the last few 928 I saw were all missing it. Is there a cover? A pic would be helpful.

As always, thanks!!

Do you mean right next to the door sill? There is supposed to be a carpeted cover, the VDO unit is the O2 service interval reset, at least on my 82 it is.

Correct! That explains the little button to the rear of the unit. Does anyone have an image of what the cover looks like?
Thanks!

Don't have a pic but it's similar to the driver-side emergency brake handle cover, although not as long and has no slots nor holes on it.

Back from the infancy of O2 sensors where they didn't know how long they were going to last on cars?
