Auto transmission flaring, vacuum question

shortly after having my transmission rebuilt, it started shifting very hard.
I began an upper intake refresh with the plan on addressing the hard shifting when I was done.
I eventually realized that the rubber between the transmission metal hard vacuum line, and the vacuum connection at the rear of the engine had deteriorated causing a vacuum leak.
After putting a rubber hose on the metal tube and fixing the leak, the transmission shifts much better.
However now I have 2nd to 3rd gear flaring.
I was going to try the MB k1 spring kit, but now I am wondering if I have to much vacuum.
I do not have the stock 7 way splitter set up, I have Rodger's updated vacuum set up, so my transmission vacuum line is split from the rear fuel pressure modulators.

No way to have too much vacuum to the modulator. The K1 kit is easy to install. Drain the fluid, drop the pan, remove the K1 piston cover and R&R the K1 piston spring unit. Reassemble and add correct amount of fluid.

If it were me, I'd try giving the regulator on the side of the trans a 360 degree turn before tearing apart the trans. It was probably adjusted to compensate for the leak.
At least I say that - I pulled out and resealed the entire tranny trying to stop the leak caused by a bent transmission pan. :P 2 months downtime for what turned out to be a 1 hour fix.

Ensure fluids are at the correct level.

Run a mighty-vac from your 7 way splitter to make sure you don't have any leaks first. Then, as Sean said, be sure you're full of ATF. Check your WSM for the procedure on adding ATF. I think the car should be running and in neutral while inspecting level, but follow the manual. If these 2 check out, take it for a test drive. Hard shifting can be fixed with the modulator. Usually takes a few attempts and test drives to dial it in. If your tranny was out I'm sure you need to remodulate. If you still have flairing get the B1 kit. Works great and usually solves your flair shift.
