Question Future plans S/C

Guys,

I'm planning to take my 91 GT to the next level in the near future by installing a supercharger. But before doing so I must make sure that my enginge is up of for it. The engine has 53K on the odometer.

Since many of you already have this upgrade you might be able to tell me what to make sure/change/renovate before installing.

Thanks

Good plan! I think the general thinking is getting the TB and Intake up to date for the top priorities. I guess a leak down would be a good idea as well to make sure the HGaskets and everything internal is in good shape. My thinking has always been to go with low boost for a dependable and reliable setup for the long term. After that I would suggest enjoying the cars new potential in moderation. In other words, you did not steal it so do not drive it that way. With my setup it just makes the car so much nicer to drive through traffic. I do not need to beat the car up at everychance I get but it is a strong temptation.

You will need to have done a top end refresh, this means new sensors, new MAF, new fuel lines, fresh fluid.

Agree with what the others have said and don't neglect your brake system, you'll need it more than ever

the single biggest performance upgrade you can do to any 928 is to make sure its running 100%.....I have driven LOTS of 928's.....most needed a little something to get to 100%.....a full intake refesh is a good idea since your flappy is probably shot..... On top of usual things like timing belt-waterpump etc.... A compression check and leakdown are other good ideas......most S4's are well above 180psi per cylinder....strong ones are 200psi....
