Got the T-Handle and boot installed. I'm pretty pleased with it. Not sure about the shiny shift plate cover though.
Opinions? It's not glued down yet.

Regarding the console insert around the shifter - I covered mine on the GTS (avatar) with OE Porsche black leather. Makes a very CLEAN installation with no bling!!

IF you need some leather, contact me - I have a lot of it from S4 rear quarter panels I removed.

Cheers,

Gary Knox

That's an idea!
Maybe I'll cover the blingy bit with leather and stick it on so it's easy to remove.
Thanks Gary

Yeah - and since the gear designations are on the instrument panel, why do we need them on the shifter??????

Back in the shop for the next round of catch up maintenance. Tranny, diff, and engine oil change. Getting the ride height set correctly then a full alignment.
I miss it already.
Last week I replaced the outside window seals. I'll post some pics of those when I get it back.
Ordered a new console lid.

Back at Gulf Performance catching up deferred maintenance. Tranny, diff, and engine oil. Prolly pull the valve covers to investigate noisy lifters. Look for other stuff to do on the next batch. A/C most likely.

Replaced all the lifters changed tranny, diff, and engine oil. and fixed the AC to the tune of $2000. Compressor was shot, dryer was shot, various O rings replaced.
Going for a shakedown cruise to Orlando.

Well, that was completely effortless. ~400 miles melted away like nothing. That trip in the Boxster is plenty one way in a day.
17.2 MPG over 469 Miles total, with A/C, almost all highway running 80+ with several sprints into triple digits.

Removed and properly installed the rear quarter window trim following this procedure from 928 Specialists. I added a twist by reconditioning the rubber at the same time, which made it ridiculously easy. I used HONDA SHIN ETSU GREASE as recommended here. I wish I hadn't put it off so long.
Also removed the old leaky, ugly antenna, which didn't work anyway and stuck on a fake fin a'la BMW. Looks good IMO.

G8RB8,

Nice car, do you mind sharing the place where you had it aligned and comment on their service?
I am changing my steering rack and that will be needed soon after it

Thanks
