Default What does this engine bay elec. connector go to (picture included)

Hello all! I hate for my first post to be a "can you tell me what this part is??" type post but here it is anyway.

Before my dumb question though, a brief into to me and my car:
My name is Steve and I am 29 years old and am a very experienced automotive hobbyist (I build engines and automatic transmissions for American cars and trucks up through the late 1990s, have done some DIY ecm tuning, I have my own tire machines, cylinder head machines, brake lathe, and alignment tools at my house), but I am brand new to owning a German car. I am lovingly bringing a 176k mile 1986.5 automatic 928S that had been sitting for many years when I bought it, back up to snuff. I bought the car as non-running, and quickly got it running and driving but then before I drove it very far at all I took it back off the road to do much-needed maintenance it has lacked over the years before I owned it.

I have performed the following work over the past few weeks (all done by myself with the aid of the factory service manuals and articles read on this board):

-new fuel pump and fuel filter, drained and refilled tank
-new timing belt and Porkensioner timing belt tensioner
-new water pump
-flex plate de-stress
-crank end play check (.007")
-replaced radiator with fully welded 2-cooler custom 928S aluminum radiator
-oil and filter change
-new Beru plug wires and new plugs
-18" twist wheels and 4 new pirellis
-machined brake rotors, new pads, flushed braking system (rotors are still over min thickness and I imparted a nondirectional finish on them)

Ok my intro aside, as I am wrapping up putting the covers and accessory belts back on after the timing belt job, I am finding a few stray wires in the engine bay.

#1 the AC compressor has its bare female spade terminal dangling
#2 the below-pictured wire with plastic 1 wire connector on the end is dangling on the right (AC compressor side) of the engine.

The first thought was hmm these must connect! but unless I am really missing something they don't fit together.

Can anyone help me out with a picture or description of what the 1 wire AC female spade should connect to and also what the pictured connector plugs into? If the answer is "that plugs into the AC compressor lead" I am going to feel really stupid.

Thanks so much!

Steve

Thanks! Oh do I feel dumb now. Is the AC compressor-end of this wire supposed to also have a plastic cover on it so that it clips nicely into the plastic piece I took a picture of? The compressor lead has a bare, uninsulated female spade on the end, hence my confusion as to whether it plugged into the above.

All the ones I have seen just plug the spade connector directly into the connector you are holding in your hand.
