If its going to the scrap yard, offer him $300 to take it - thats probably more than he'll get scrapping it, and it'd make a fun project.

I would grab it if I was local and part it. If it is really an '84 Euro, then the intake, cams and heads are worth well over $1000 by themselves. It could also still have all the ABS sensors which are NLA. Lots of good stuff on that car that are sought after and it would be a shame to have it scrapped before those items are removed. It even appears to have the front spoiler intact.
FYI, when you are done pulling the good parts, a local scrapper will always pay you a couple of hundred to pick it up at your house. They advertise all over your local Craigslist.

Also if it is an 84 it is an LH equipped Euro S, very desirable! Could be a 5 speed car as well.

I see the H4's were swapped out.
