Searched but did not find a definitive answer.
Anyone know if these will fit an '88 S4? I'm thinking not.
Front: 18 x 8 ET52
Rear: 18 x 10 ET40
They are off a 911 4S.
Thanks. -Ed

I originally had those on my '84 and they fit great. However, you can't go too wide on the tire or else you may need to roll the rear fender a bit. I think I had 265s on the rear.

You get what you can find... If you want to stick with Porsche rims you are a bit more limited even, but those fronts will be just fine. I have the CLW's with an 8" 50ET and they work on my S4... That said, I started a thread about front end Asymmetry because I found that some of my cars the left and right front were different. In other words an 8" 50ET wheel with a 225 tire would work on the drivers side but would actually stick out on the passenger side! I first saw this on my race car (but it has custom fenders so I just figured they were not a perfect match)... Then I had a set of wheels that fit fine on my '94 GTS, but didn't fit a friends S4 well. Then I had CLW's that fit my EURO85 just fine, but didn't fit my '92 GTS well (again sticking out on the passenger side!) but those wheels did fit my '88 S4 fine...again, not my friends '88 S4...
GO FIGURE!
So a 52ET might be cutting it close on the passenger side of your car and a 55 would certainly clear. I am sure I made that clear as mud!
