Ott's Mafs
What's the difference between the regular maf and super maf refurbished? I'm having maf issues (ruled out LH etc), car continues to accelerate to any rpm but very lumpy. Temp 2 was also checked and I could not find any vac leaks. Fuel pressure is at 60psi with the go go pedal pressed.
Thanks

A SuperMAF is a modified version of a MAF for 928s with power output over ~500hp, and some tuning is required to run it properly. A normal rebuilt MAF from Louie should work just fine in a stock 928.

So now that I need to replace or rehab a 23 year old MAF, I'm torn between a MAF rebuild or go for the Alpha N (MAFless mod) from JDS. I can handle the install (so can anyone who's ever done a manifold refresh) but has anyone installed it and it's running great?

Jim Corenman has installed the ALpha-N on his GT, and it runs very well indeed. Been like that for a couple of years now.
Obviously the power is still limited by the stock intake.....
The race car in my avatar also has Aphha-N but it has ITBs and a stroker engine.......for the last year. Runs rtace cams but still has nice steady tickover, no problem iwith inlet reversion.
Chebrator on RL is fitting the Alpha-N to his race car, he's using BMW ITBs.....

Thanks John. I'm gonna make the change over if I can't find why my acceleration is so lumpy. I'm still performing diagnostics. as soon as I decide I'll make the call to Jim
