rough start, low idle, rough running......then about 20-30 sec clears completely.....
Hey guys!
Ok whether it is cold or warm. takes a bit to start. cranks and cranks, then after trying a couple to a few times, she starts.......runs like crap (low idle, misses terribly if you give it gas. Only clears in this stage after about 3-4K RPM)
Then after about roughly 20-30 seconds. It clears completely. revs perfectly, idles normally. As if nothing is wrong.
Whether I do it when she is warm or ice cold it does the same thing. Driving after the stubborn 20-30 seconds it runs perfect.
Any thoughts guys?
Thanks,
Joey

Thanks Mongo. After some research, it looks like the same symptoms are typical with the Aux Air valve.
Looks like I will be ordering one from 928intl. The car has 117K. I guess its about time.

Is that an expensive item? I am having the EXACT same problem. I thought it might be a gasket leak on the intake that sealed up once it got warm... but now, like you, it happens hot or cold...

I removed the aux air valve, the cold start injector, the carbon canister, the vacuum limiter, and the piping to the cats from the air pump when I did my fuel system. I have three vacuum lines now after getting rid of the dampers and regulators. I haven't had it in cold weather yet, so we will see how it does.
