Middle console. Main trunk runs down driver side TT Tunnel under carpet. Large set of wires branch off that trunk at to of center console. All the wires where cut and ends taped. What do these go to? ( Would these be sunroof and rear window wiper which this car does not have? Would Porsche do this? )

Also same trunk just under heater box front is a THICK red/blk wire and a thinner red/blk wire...both cut and PO had wired together. Where do these go?

my guess is Cig lighter and Clock.

I have the cig lighter and clock wires accounted for...Its something else.

I'm thinking the sunroof and rear wiper but if Porsche did this , it sure is tacky.

The red wires in second pic have me the most concerned.

I think the larger group of wires in your pics is the stereo wiring going to an amp - looks like mine that was under the driver seat also. The current flow diagram page 97-83 shows the wire colors and they seem to match your pic. For the 2 Red wires, they are near where the Suppressor (looks like a small transformer) is supposed to be, so maybe related to that?

On my 89 S4 the wires that go from the console to the amplifier run on the passenger side of the console (roght side), and they had a copper mesh around them.
But since they were also cut, I am not sure the PO has messed them up as well.

My car also had the amplifier originally under the cover between the passenger seat and the door (under the hatch opening button is).
